Living my life through the Spirit of Service has been my passion for years. Through this
platform I have learned to “Sing in the Rain” despite any challenge. From a
young age, my Mother provided ways for me to help others. Because of her
example, I learned the importance of developing my talents so I could share
them while volunteering at different venues. It also gave me reason to keep
practicing and perfecting my talents. Singing is something I really enjoy, and I
have been given the chance to sing for thousands of people. I find it rewarding
to share this talent because it is a way to connect emotionally to those in
need. Just like music can calm a crying baby, it can also uplift a troubled
teenager, or bring joy and comfort to elderly people in a retirement home. Volunteering
my time, has given me the opportunity to change peoples lives for the better. It
also gives me the chance to share my story of a close friend who took his life due
to being bullied. If someone is feeling down or in a hard situation, it is
important to look outside your self and realize that life is worth living.
“Singin’ in the Rain” is one of my favorite songs and I believe that even if it’s
gloomy outside or if were struggling in life, we can get through it by making
the choice to sing. Together we can find hope for the future. It is only one
click away to know this for yourself, by joining efforts with me in LivingThe Spirit of Service and
discovering new opportunities for you to be the person to make a difference at www.VolunteerMatch.org
